Radiology services for MetroHealth are provided in multiple locations by the Department of Radiology. Our staff includes 175 employees with 20 radiologists and two PhD faculty. The Department performs more than 200,000 procedures annually. The department is now one of the largest in the nation in terms of workload, range of procedures and services offered, and the size of the installed equipment base (replacement cost in excess of $25 million). MetroHealth is the only Level I trauma center for adult and pediatric care in the greater Cleveland area, and the entire spectrum of modern radiologic procedures is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Radiology resident and fellowship programs provide a unique opportunity for study due to the diverse range of trauma and brain injury patients who use the services available at MetroHealth.
